OHSAS 18001 INTERNAL AUDITOR

This course is designed for all company members who wish to undertake internal audit of the company’s occupational health & safety management system and for persons responsible for carrying out internal quality

audits in accordance with OHSAS 18001 occupational health & safety management system requirements.
The scope of this course is to:

  • Understand the basic concepts and principles of health & safety
  • Understand the benefits of implementing OHSAS 18001:2007 and key health & safety issues
  • Understand the requirements of OHSAS 18001:2007 specification
  • Understand the principles and practices of auditing
  • Plan and prepare an audit against a set of audit criteria
  • Perform an effective audit of a company’s environmental management system and lead a team of auditors
  • Create clear, concise and relevant audit reports by identifying the strength and weaknesses of an  OHSAS
  • Assess a company’s occupational health & safety management system and determine whether or not it meets the requirement of OHSAS 18001:2007
  • A clear understanding of the importance of monitoring the occupational health & safety management system and informing the management and staff of its effectiveness
  • Understand the importance of audit as an effective system monitoring methodology and how it can be used as a overall management tool
